In 2016, I was being held as a political prisoner at Springhill Institution, still with a broken leg from having barely survived the 2011-09-30 attempted murder. All of the inmates and staff were aware that a hit man had been sent to the institution to kill me. Several of them told me so. His name was “Janson Baker” and just as I had been warned for months prior to the attack, on 2017-07-17 he made his attempt on my life. Strong as I am, he failed to knock me down, but he did have a weapon and he used it to shatter bones in my face. The sucker bludgeon was so ferocious that in addition to suffering broken bones, several nerves and an artery was severed which resulted in me losing feeling to half of my face and a large blood well filled up underneath my skin which had to be drained several weeks later.
The attack took place within the vicinity of several cameras and was done while a guard watched the whole thing. The guard was attending me in the hospital and told me that she witnessed the attack and that Baker had immediately run to her and confessed that he was the one who had done it. She remarked that she didn’t see where I had gone because I had escaped into the crowd into the kitchen.
The normal policy for assaults which take place in custody is that whenever there are broken bones, that makes it an aggravated assault at the very least and so even if the victim doesn’t want to press charges, the police are required to lay a charge and take the offender to trial.
Despite all of this, the RCMP have thus far refused to lay any charges against Janson Baker, who is a professional hit man. The Parole Board of Canada sends me updates about the whereabouts of the offender so that I can be safe from him, but for most of the years since he attacked me, he has been running out in society, killing more people. See the news about the murders he has already been caught for. Also an attempted murder he perpetrated. Also a motel robbery and stabbing.
Had jJanson Baker been properly charged with the offenses he committed against me, he would never have been allowed to run free to carry out all of the murders that he has perpetrated.
The sickest irony is that while Baker was let loose to commit all of these additional murders, I, the innocent political prisoner, victim of the offense which resulted in my wrongful conviction, was being repeatedly terrorized by the CSC and the PBC to the maximum extent allowed by law. They even rubbed salt in the wound by writing up documentation to justify why they were harassing me so badly. They said that I was a severely badly behaved inmate, but since I had zero institutional charges of any bad behavior, the worst thing I had done was to be assaulted and this justified locking me up for two additional years.
